Optimal and constant production conditions are essential for high product quality and efficient production. Spear’s range of EHD hot air dryers are the most effective way of conditioning slightly hygroscopic plastic granules for processing and removing surface moisture. With pre-heated material the important production parameters are under control.
spear's fully insulated hot air dryers cover a performance range from 7 to 3000 kg/h. The dryers can be mounted directly on the throat of the processing machine or on a support frame beside the machine. All models have a micro-processor controlled temperature regulator and are equipped with a safety thermostat to prevent overheating of materials. The use of corrosion resistant materials ensures a long lifetime and avoids contamination of the plastic granules.

Economy

Pre-heated material increases the efficiency of the processing machine and thus productivity, while simultaneously decreasing energy costs. Fully insulated and equipped with a specially designed air diffuser, the EHD hot air dryers warm up the plastic granules efficiently and with low energy consumption.

Surface moisture is removed reliably. This minimizes rejects and guarantees a constantly high product quality. At the same time, the EHD hot air dryer requires very little maintenance.

The Crystelizer of the CRN series have been designed to treat PET in amorphous granules and flakes of bottles, etc. There are 9 models with capacities ranging from 300 to 8000 dm3 .

The resin dryers SKT series, equipped with a Desiccant technology, offer high-level performances in drying and ensure maximum efficiency and versatile of application in medium productions. SKT models maintain a constant Dew Point value from -25 °C to -50 °C with airflow rates from 25 to 2500 m3/h. The process temperature can be set up to 180°C.

It is possible to install a wide range of hoppers with capacities from 30 l to 5000 l.
